NOTICE of SEMINAR: Prof. D. Tartakovsky (Stanford University): "Quantitative Forecasting for Energy Applications"
PhD Daniel M. Tartakovsky, Professor at the Stanford University, Department of Energy Resources Engineering, will deliver the seminar on Thursday November 30th (14:00), at the School of Engineering and Architecture in Bologna (Viale del Risorgimento 2, room 1.2).
PhD programme on Structural and Environmental Health Monitoring and Management (SEHM2)
This new PhD programme was proposed by ARCES and its four Departments (DICAM, DEI, DISI, MAT), the programme is designed for outstanding students targeting academic or corporate interdisciplinary research, and willing to develop their career at top level protection and safety - public or private - institutions.
Novel devices and emerging technologies
In order to maintain also in the future the pace of growth of the electronic industry observed in the last few decades, new materials, new technologies and new device concepts are required to replace the standard silicon CMOS technology.
Autonomous IoT nodes
Autonomous nodes with both sensing and actuating capabilities might significantly increase the impact of Internet of Things (IoT). The research is carried out in the framework of joint ST-ARCES laboratory.
Energy harvesting and nano-power circuits
Development of electronic systems and integrated circuits for energy harvesting and micro-power conversion, based on piezoelectric, thermoelectric, photovoltaic, and RF transducers.
